Homemade Flower Food

Homemade Flower Food

How to make Homemade Flower Food:

Per quart of water–

2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons of one of the following (or a combination adding up to 2 tablespoons)–liquid bleach, lemon juice, or vinegar

Stir to mix well and dissolve sugar then pour into the vase, or mix it straight in the container where you’ll be placing the flowers. You can measure to be exact, or just eyeball it. If your vase is smaller or larger, adjust your quantities to match.

"wonderful winnie"

oh how i miss her..deep raspy voice...warm hugs...always there for everyone...loved by so many...but always room for one more friend in need...

how fortunate my children were to have her there for them..something i never had...a warm loving grandmother!

she adored her husband ( gorgeous George), her children, her grandchildren, her pets ( members of the family and spoiled rotten) and always her friends !

one day many years ago, we talked of the day when she would no longer be there for me..how hard it was for her to lose my sister Judy and her own mother when she was three...and my daddy too...and was there a heaven or not...she told me that it was there if you believed it was..that simple..nothing more...life can be simple...or not..it's what we make it!

Winifred Davies Anderson..my muse, my Mommy..my idol..simple my "wonderful Winnie"

love and cherish you..have told all the children everything i remember about you...you live on and on and on..always in my heart<3 !

please meet "Miss Marie Pierre Cheeky"

I have a new friend! she is a sock monkey from the UK..spent the better part of a week in a padded envelope (cell) just to come to stay with me in the USA!...So far she's a little homesick..but quickly adjusting to the South Carolina sunshine and intense heat...Hopefully today she gets to view the beautiful May River for lunch! Missy ...as I call her...is soft colors of pink and silver and white...has perky little ears and a big smile...she is lucky enough to wear silver and pink flip-flops, which by a coincidence match a pair of mine!..She was lovingly handmade by a sweet lady, across an ocean..and sent to me! Lucky me!

So today we spend our first day together getting to know each other..new friends..everlasting...and she sits staring at my laptop..just waiting for me to look away a second so she can play too..she loves to blog! You will meet her again..that's for sure! <3<3<3
